Bryanston Sports Club Bowls Reopened on 18 July

After seventeen weeks of isolation due to lockdown, happy Bryanston Sports Club bowlers, armed with masks and sanitisers, turned out to enjoy a game of bowls on Saturday, 18 July.


Before the commencement of play, Bowls Vice President Tony Mazaris welcomed the bowlers. He explained the regulations, approved by Minister of Sport Nathi Mthethwa, that enabled bowls to be played again:


  • All players need to book beforehand and register upon arrival.

  • Social distancing must always be practiced.

  • Only Singles and Pairs games are allowed.

  • Skips, place the jack and scoreboards are not allowed to be used.


Happy bowlers, who enjoyed the afternoon out, left for home straight after their games ended.

Before commencement of play, Bryanston Sports Club Bowls VP Tony Mazaris explained the Club's mandatory hygiene and social distancing regulations.
