BSC Bowls awarded JBA club and bowler of the year trophies

The Bryanston Sports Club was recently honoured as the Club of the Year at the Johannesburg Bowls Association’s (JBA) Perfect Delivery Masters tournament, with star player Victor Siphali taking home the Player of the Year award.

According to president of the bowls section at Bryanston Sports Club Sipho Velempini, both of these achievements are the most sought-after bowls awards in the district. He added that the Club of Year award was also a true testament of all the outstanding work done by the club both on and off the field.

“The award is a credit to our players who have had an unbelievable season, our coaches who continue to produce a pipeline of talent.” Velempini added that the Bryanston sporting community continued to grow at a encouraging pace. “During the Covid-19 pandemic, Bryanston Sports Club attracted new members who wanted a new challenge.”

Victor Siphali was named Player of the Year.
