The Johannesburg Bowls Association recently announced the appointment of Tony Mazaris, a BSC past president to the JBA men’s selection panel. This will be the second occasion Tony has served as a JBA selector. He joins fellow club member Cathy Dryburgh as a JBA selector.
Cathy is serving her second term as a JBA lady’s selector. The JBA selectors are tasked with the selection of District, Masters and President’s teams and the development of talented bowlers and future potential district bowlers.
Sipho Velempini, President of Bowls at Bryanston Sports Club commented: “We’re extremely proud to have two BSC members doing duty as JBA selectors. We wish them every success in performing the important task of developing bowls in the Johannesburg district.”
